Eritrean Ambassador to the UN, Mr. Araya Desta, conducts a successful seminar in Boston.

At the invitation of the PFDJ chapter and the Representatives of Consular Affairs in Boston, Ambassador Araya Desta conducted a successful seminar in Boston, MA on Dec 9^th 2006.

Dawit Gerense, chair of the PFDJ Boston chapter opened the seminar by observing a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs. After making a few welcoming remarks, he gave a brief account of the Ambassador’s extensive diplomatic experience. Ambassador Araya’s eloquent and comprehensive presentation, enhanced by power point and impressive images, covered three major areas:

1. Preservation of our sovereignty and defense of our border

2. Political situation in the Horn of Africa and good neighborliness

3. Economic and Reconstruction programs in Eritrea.

Sufficient time was allocated to entertain questions and opinions from participants for which the Ambassador gave adequate answers.
