Zenawi In Somalia To “Kill Two Birds with One Stone”; Not This time! By:
Dr. Michael Fessehaye As a “mercenary”, pushed by the smell of the “dollar” from some Western countries, the Prime Minister of the Ethiopian Minoriy Regime is gone to Somalia claiming to fight “terrorism” as we know it. The truth but nothing but the truth: Meles Zenawi, the naked “Emperor of Tigrai”, is gone to Somalia not to fight “terrorism” but “kill to birds with one stone” to hold on to the good life he has at Menelik Palace. Not this time and most definitely not in Somalia. This time around, Somalia shall be the next graveyard of the “All-Tigrawot-AgAzi-Army” of Meles Zenawi.
Has Meles read history or has he asked others what to expect in Somalia? I did not think he did. Hoping he could divert the attention of the Ethiopians from the “Hell” he is driving them through, Meles has jumped into a “quicksand”. In all honesty, you do not have to be a rocket scientist or an expert in Military Science to see that there is not a single theory of “war and battle engagement” that favors Meles Zenawi to win a battle, let alone a war, in Somalia. It is possible; pushed by the smell of the “dollar” from some Western countries, Meles Zenawi might have jumped into a “quicksand. But for all practical purposes, there is not s single military theory taught at any Military Science Academy that could fish Meles Zenawi from the ‘quicksand” he jumped into. Simply put; after traveling 3000 km, in convoy and through an OLF and ONLF controlled area, the “All-Tigrawot-Agazi-Army” of Meles Zenawi can only be the proverbial “sitting duck” by the time they arrived in Somalia proper. Any one who thinks he could win a war from a command and supply post which is 3000 km from the front line got to be “suicidal”. But if it could be of any reconciliation, since he is hoping to be paid handsomely by some Western nations for every dead Ethiopian or Somali, all in the name of fighting “terrorism”, Meles has to head to Somalia. But after every thing is said and done, this Somalia adventure can only be a military and political sucicide on the part of Meles Zenawi. Please help me to read his mind and try to make me understand the
mental anguish Meles Zenawi is going through at this juncture. For the mental
and emotional anguish he is being subjected to at Menelik Palace, can any one
give me the “dollar” figure which is good enough for Meles to receive from some
Western countries for the adventure he claims to have jumped into? What are the
handful Western countries willing to pay for this “mission impossible”? Is Meles Zenawi to get $1.00, $10.00, or
$1000.00 for every Ethiopian and Somali dead by this “two birds with one stone”
scheme? Do these Western country truly
believe Meles Zenai is going thru the “Hell” for their sake to fight
“terrorism”? As “mercenary”, Meles Zenawi might be paid alright but I do
not think he knows he has neither the “time” nor a “corner” on the earth left
for him to enjoy it. Let me repeat
it. As “mercenary”, Meles might be paid handsomely alright but he has neither
the “time” nor a “corner” on the earth left for him to enjoy it. Meles Zenawi should know and he should
accept that he is the next “Charles Taylor” or “Saddam Hussien” to be hanged
high and dry at Doro Maneqia for the killing 193 innocent Ethiopian school
children in the streets of Addis; at the very least! “Give credit when credit is due” and so they say; and there is one
credit you should give to Meles Zenawi.
That is, Meles Zenawi, as the master of “deception”, “betrayal”, and
“denial”; he has succeeded in hoodwinking some half-baked Western diplomats and
policy makers into believing that he is in Somalia to fight “terrorism” and so
these countries are expect to come with the “dollar”. The truth,
nothing but the truth: How could a man who is in bed with “terrorism” as we know
it is to fight “terrorism”? It is
has been reported time and time again that “Addis Ababa” is the center where the
front companies of Al Qaeda are registered to do business in Ethiopia and all
over the world, including in the very Western countries who are supposed to be
in the trenches to fight terrorism.
To that end, this is what DEBKAfile to say about the unholy alliance of

But when you are sending half-baked Western diplomats and policy makers such as Jonedin Frazier and Susan Rice to deal with Horn; then what you end up is Western policy makers who have been had good into taking the master of “deception” and “betray” as a “partner in the war against terrorism”. Such colossal mistake by some Western countries, especially the US, can only translate to undermining, sabotaging, and aborting the noble mission of defeating “terrorism”, as we know it! And I bet Meles Zenawi Zenawi is laughing at the “Dedeb Ferenji” (the dummy white man) behind closed doors at Menelik Palac. And that is damn shame! If “to fight terrorism” is not what drove Meles Zenawi to Somalia, then what. As an individual, at this juncture, it is “Survival of Meles Zenawi” at any cost, even if it comes down to burning the Horn to the ground. And to do just that, Meles has jumped into Somalia and the plan is to “kill two birds with one stone”. But and but, not in Somalia and by all means not to drive the Ethiopians to the slaughterhouse across the border again. This time around, after the Ethiopian have had the bitter experience in the Eritrean country side, Somalia will not be the next killing ground of innocent Ethiopians. This time Meles Zenawi is all alone in Somalia and if there will be “dead” Ethiopians in Somalia, it will be his “All-Tigrawot-Agazi-Army”-the very people who paid beyond the numbers so that he and his handful bandits could enjoy the good life at Menelik Palace. Meles Zenawi knows is finished but what is ugly and evil about this whole episode is he is taking the people of Tigrai, the very people who paid more than any Ethiopian society, down the drain with him and that is shame! It has only been six years since Meles Zenawi tasted the bitter pill of military, diplomatic, and legal defeat in Eritrea. And now he is gone to taste another “humiliation” in Somalia. From lessons learned from just yesterday, Meles Zenawi should have known he cannot and he will not be able to drive the Ethiopians as “Fengiregach” (live human landmine sweepers) in the war in Somalia. But for what ever inertia that drives him, here is Meles Zenawi in Somalia hoping to have the Ethiopians, the very Ethiopians who are to finished him off, be killed by the Somalis and the Somalia to be killed by the Ethiopians. But this is not to work and I do not think Meles has the brains to learn from past bitter experience; and that is his curse!
In a desperate attempt to divert the attention of the Ethiopians from reclaiming their country and dignity, this is not the first time Meles tried to “kill two birds with one stone”. By sending the Ethiopians as “Fengiregach” in the war against in Eritrea, Meles thought (1) he could have the Ethiopians, the very armed Ethiopians who were and still are to destroyed him, to be finished in Eritrea by the Eritreans and (2) by using the “blood” of the Ethiopians he hoped he can destroy Eritrea as a country and people so that his “Greater Republic of Tigrai”, with access to the sea, is to be real. Alas, it did not work then for the Eritreans gallants where at the border to raise hell and they did raise hell-sending Meles to psychiatric ward suffering from “insomnia”. There in Eritrea, instead “killing two birds with one stone”, the war he declared against Eritrea was the one that speeded up the fall of “Emperor” Meles Zenawi by leaps and bounds. Lo and behold, after the Ethiopians squandering 36,000,000,000 Birr in arms and armament against Eritrea, not to mention the 153,000 dead “Fengiregach” that were left in the Eritrean country side; the Ethiopians knew then, if they have an enemy it is Meles and they have long decided to finish Weyane once and for all. In short, right after Meles was crushed in June 2000 by the gallant sons and daughter of Eritrea; that was the “beginning of the end” of Melee Zenawi’s Dynasty. How forgetful could Meles Zenawi be? Meles Zenawi, should have known that it was “EPLF THAT MADE TPLF AND IT SHALL BE EPLF TO UNMADE TPLF”-(the May 1998 prophetic words of General Wuchu, the gallant Eritrean commander). And at this hour, the Ethiopian revolution is raging on. The OLF, ONLF, EPPF, TPDM, and others are stripping off “Emperor Meles Zenawi” naked. And now the last garment he is wearing (underwear) is just about to be stripped by the Somalis.
For a man who suffers from “inferiority complex”, for a man who is
not endowed with the brain and the wisdom to learn from past mistakes, and for a
man who is blinded by the good life
at Menelik Palace, a life he never had, Meles Zenawi has done it all and he has
crossed the threshold decency. Meles Zenawi perfectly knows he is the next
“Charles Taylor” or “Sadam Hussien” to be dragged to justice and as a result
Meles Zenawi is not to look back but to burn Ethiopia and the Horn to the ground
with him, if he could. If
you come to think about it; if “Saddam Hussien”, the “Butcher of Baghdad” is to
receive the “death sentence” for killing 148 Iraqis; then Meles Zenawi, who is
the “Butcher of Addis Ababa NO. 2” should be hanged twice-first for killing
“193” Ethiopian school children in
the streets of Addis and then for the “genocide” he committed in Gambela. This
is Meles Zenawi, the “Butcher of Addis Ababa No. 2”; and he knows it
too! Meles Zenawi is the man who betrayed Tigrai, he betrayed the Ethiopians, and he bit the hand the fed that fed him (Eritrea) and as result he is a lonely man at Menelik Palace. Suffering from “insomnia”-unable to sleep without sleeping pills or bottle of “Johnny Walker.”-here is the Emperor stripped naked. And now, he thought he could buy a day here and day there by jumping into Somalia to “kill to birds with one stone”. But this time it is not to work for the Ethiopians know if they are to go war, it will be to capture Meles Zenawi alive at Doro Maneqia of Iri Bekentu and tie him under a tree at JANIHOY MEDA for all the Ethiopians to look at. In short, in June 2000, after Meles Zenawi returned back to Addis Ababa humiliated and defeated MILIARILY, DIPLOMAICALLY, AND LEGALY in Eritrea; that was the beginning of the end of Zenawi’s dynasty. For all practical purposes, Meles has been read his last rite and the “High Priest of Debra Damo” is only waiting to say “ashes to ashes”. What can Meles do at this point in time? Nothing, absolutely nothing, except to stay on course and take Ethiopia down the drain with him. Living in a dream world, unable and unwilling to wake up to face the Ethiopian reality, and unable and unwilling to let go the good life at Menelik Palace; you can only expect Meles Zenawi and his few gangsters to try to buy a day here and a day there. This time he thought “Somalia” is the bait he could use to fool the Ethiopians. But to wage war and to win battles by traveling 3000 km to Somalia? To sustain and invading army from a command and supply post which is 3000 km away? To sustain an invading army through OLF and ONLF controlled area? Meles got to be a certified idiot. Then again, what can you expect from a desperately desperate desperado! Trust me, if Meles Zenawi has an IQ of 80, he should have known that by the time his invading army arrived in Somalia, they are just a “sitting duck” for the Somalis to take out at whim. But since he neither have the brain nor the wisdom to learn, here is Meles Zenawi in Somalia with no way out alive. But is quite interesting and entertaining to see Meles Zenawi going every where making a mess. Like the “chicken” with “severed head” that jumps all over the “KANCHELO” making a mess, or like the rabid dog that goes on biting every thing and any thing on his way, here is Meles jumping all over trying to make mess. At this hour, here is Emperor Meles, like the “chicken with severed head”, trying to make a mess in Eritrea, Sudan, Kenya, then in Djibouti. And now Meles Zenawi has jumped into another “KANCHELO”, Somalia, to make a mess. Take a look at the desperately desperate Meles, in Somali quicksand” and the “quicksand” is up to his ear-lobes-sinking him faster by the hour. One final note relative to relationship between Ethiopia and Somalia. We know, to reach at their destructive agenda, there are those elements who will try to promote Somalia as “terrorism-infested Moslem” county or those who might take Ethiopia as a “Christian” country with an unresolved “border issue” that could lead it to more wars with “Moslem Somalia”. The truth, but nothing but the truth: (1) Being a Moslem is not being a “terrorist”. If that is the case, are we to take countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, the every nations which are in the trenches fighting “terrorism” as we know it, to be “terrorism-infested” nations? We know “terrorists” have come in all forms and shapes to wreck havoc to humanity-all in the name of “Christianity” and “Islam” and they are not confined to a specific “territorial boundary” or “religion”. (2) Ethiopia is not a “Christian” country and is not a “Moslem” country but a country of decent and God/Allah fearing people. Any one who tries to use “religion” from within Ethiopia can only be an enemy who would like to see Ethiopia destroyed as a country and people. If there are people would like to see Ethiopia destroyed as a country; it got to be Meles and his gang for they know the only way the could have their “Greater Republic of Tigrai” is to leave the Ethiopia economically destroyed, militarily weak and socially divided or killing each other. (3) There is no unresolved “border issue” between Ethiopia and Somalia. The Ethiopians and the Somalis should accept that the border between Ethiopia and Somalia is delineated, if no demarcated, as per the “colonial boundaries”. That end, time and time again, it has been the noble and correct position of SHAEBIA that, good or bad, both Ethiopia and Somalia are to abide by and to live by the “sanctity of the colonial boundaries. Taking this noble and honorable stand of Eritrea, it is time for the Ethiopians and the Somali to accept that there is no “border issue” that could be exploited by anyone for further destruction in Ethiopia or Somalia. In conclusion, this is state of Meles Zenawi and his mafia gang and
there is not single force that resuscitate the “dead horse” of Ethiopia. But
just like the “chicken with sever head” that make a lot of mess-you got to
expect Meles to make a lot more mess in the Horn before the HIGH PRIEST OF
DEBRE-DAMO says “ashes to ashes”. Then what should Eritrea do at juncture?
Eritrea is to do nothing expect sit on the side like and watch the Ethiopians
and the Somalis have the honors to eradicate the scam of the human race. And so
Eritrea, be patient and let the Ethiopians and the Somalis have the honors of
destroying the scam of the human race. With Weyane gone there will be peace in the Horn.
