Weyane Still Raining “The Hell” In Ethiopia; How Could That be Possible?….!

For the last 15 years, the Ethiopian minority regime, the Weyane, has been systematically and methodically dismantling Ethiopia as a country and people. The Weyane have long calculated that, if their yet-to-be-born “Greater Republic of Tigrai” is to be a reality; then leaving behind an economically destroyed, militarily weak, socially divided, if not a “Balkanized”, Ethiopia is a must have condition. In deed, the “1976 Tigrai Manifesto” of Weyane called for “Abai Tigrai” at the cost of destroying Ethiopia as a country and people. And towards that end, the Ethiopian minority regime has been raining “The Hell” in Ethiopia for the last 15 year. The question is how could this be possible in the proud nation and how could this be happening to the God-fearing and decent people?….!

 

Although the Eritreans have answered the question a long time ago, this is the burning question that is being asked by many, especially by the Ethiopians. Knowing the nature and the make up of Weyane, the Eritreans have long answered the question. In fact, the nature of Weyane has been defined metaphorically, not by the present Eritrean generation, but by our forefathers when they named a section of a winding highway that leads from Asmara to Keren as “LIBI TIGRAI”.  It was not out of nothing when our forefathers said, “LIBI TIGRAI TIWIYWAY”. Thus, the answer to the question is in the nature of Weyane that can be summarized by three words:  “Betrayal”, “Deceit”, and “Denial”.  In short, for the last 15 years, Weyane were being them selves-they have to refine their TIMET, KIHDET, AND ALU to the highest level. Suffering from deeply-rooted “inferiority complex”, the Weyane have no other choice but to go to this low of lows.

 

Before we discuss how the Weyane used this unholy traits (deceit, betrayal, and denial) to rain “The HELL” in Ethiopia; it is nice to know that there are facts on the ground to accept.  Fact No. 1:  The Ethiopians have come to know the Weyane for what they are and a full scale Ethiopian revolution against Weyane is raging on. This revolution is now spreading like a prairie fire to finish the Weyane once and for all.  Fact No. 2: At this very hour, there is no “colonial master” like Tony Blair who will be able to prop up the termite-infested house of Weyane. The Weyane house of cards has only to fall and you can see the Weyane dropping like flies all over Ethiopia or the Weyane running for their life.  Fact No. 3:  This time around, Eritrea is not to steal the show of the Ethiopians but to sit on the sideline and watch the Ethiopians have the honors of reclaiming their country and dignity from the scam of the earth, the Weyane.

 

Make no mistakes about it; the Ethiopians are up to reclaim their country and dignity and it is a must they should, if “Ethiopia” as a country and people is to exist.  Nevertheless, how did the Weyane did it or why did it took the Ethiopians 15 years (1991-2005) to see thru the evil nature of Weyane? Yes, it is a logical and timely question to ask why the Ethiopians waited that long, as if they were happy with Weyane. There were/are “INTERANAL FACTORS” and the “EXTERNAL FACTORS” that led to prevailing sad state of Ethiopia under the rule of the minority regime of Ethiopia. 

 

A. The “Internal Factors”

True to they nature and make up, the minority regime of Ethiopia used “Betrayal, Deceit, and Denial”, their hallmark or trademark, to stay in power and in the process they drove 70,000,000 Ethiopians to “The Hell”. These “three unholy traits” of CHIFRA WEYANE, adding the weakness of some Ethiopians, especially Ethiopian intellectuals, for being unable or unwilling to see thru the Weyane, the handful gangs were able to mislead and deceive 70,000,000 Ethiopians. “Betrayal, Deceit, and Denial” are in their blood; they just cannot help it!

 

Speaking in “forked-tongue”, once the Weyane entered Menelik Palace by the help of the gallants sons of Eritrea, they started to speak as if they were the champions of “equality and  justice for all”.  Claiming to give voice and/or to be the voice to the historically “voiceless” Ethiopian nationals, they preached “liberty, equality, and fraternity” for all.  In the process, the Weyane presented them selves as if they are the “DEMOCRATS” who are to promote and to cultivate “liberty, equality, and fraternity” in Ethiopia.  Alas, little did the Ethiopians knew the Weyane were being them selves-the “wolf in sheepskin” tending the sheep or the chicken coop. 

 

We do understand if the Ethiopians were taken for a ride by the empty words of Weyane. Do not forget, these are the very Ethiopian nationals who never had any voice in the affairs of their country. These are the very Ethiopian nationals that have been reduced to third-class citizens for a over century. These are very the Ethiopian nationals that were told they are the “recent-arrival-nomadic-cattle-drivers-from-Madagascar”. And these are very Ethiopians who were systematically forced to reject their identity, culture, language, heritage, history; including their names.  Thus, if these Ethiopians are taken for a ride by the empty words of “equality and justice for all”, we understand!  For a nation that lived in the reign of “QAI SHIBIR“ (Red Terror) of the Butcher of Africa (Mengistu Hailemariam) for 17 long and bloody years especially; who could blame the Ethiopians for seeing a “light at the end of the tunnel”, a light that was not there? There over the horizon, the Ethiopians where made to accept a “mirage” as if it was a “clean drinking water hole”. But Every time the Ethiopians went forwards to the promised “drinking water hole”, they found no “drinking water” except the “mirage”  went on farther and farther away from them.

 

Such preaching of “equality and justice”, coming from the Weyane, whom they them selves are to have tasted the ugliness of “injustice” and “inequality” under all the previous Ethiopian rulers, was a perfect package for the Made-In-Mekele “sleeping pill” that was about to be dispensed for the consumption of the “hungry-for-democracy” Ethiopians. In short, if the heart and the soul of the “forgotten” and the historically third-class-citizens of Ethiopia was touched by the songs of Weyane and if they were mislead to read the empty glass “as half full”; it is understandable!

 

What the Weyane did to “sedate” the Ethiopians is truly the works of the “Devil” himself. To prove to the Ethiopians that the Weyane are indeed the champions of “democracy and justice for all”, they packaged “poison” pills for the consumption of the Ethiopians.  These are to include:  (1) In an overnight, the Weyane allowed political parties to mushroom like a mushroom.  With unprecedented speed and efficiency, in a matter of 4 years, the Weyane created more than 53 political parties in Ethiopia. The formation of 53 political parties is record setting phenomenon, especially in a country that was subjected to 17 years of “Red Terror”.  Never been done in any part of the world; but the formation of 4 parties from the Amhara, another 5 from Oromo, another 3 from Afar, and another 3 from Sidama, and another 2 from Beshangul parties was some thing the Ethiopian thought they could hold on to or  cherish.  In short, to the common Ethiopian on the streets of Addis Ababa, that was a “democracy” at its best and finest.  But and but, when the Weyane allowed the formation of multiple political parties from the Amhara “KILIL” but ONLY one party (TPLF) from Tigrai; that should have told the Ethiopians something unhealthy is being brewed for their consumption.

 

That is not all what the Weyane did. (2) There was some thing which was out of this world done by Weyane.  Presenting them selves as the “21st Century Democrats”, first they divided Ethiopia into 9 “ethnic-based federal” states and then they made the Ethiopians adopt a constitution that guarantees “self-determination, up to secession” for all nationals, including Tigrai. But to come up with an “ethnic-based federalism” and with a constitution that guarantees “self-determination, up to secession”, in the country we call Ethiopia, which is still in the 19th Century by all accounts, was devilishly evil of Weyane.  In all Honestly, such provisions, let alone in Ethiopia, even the Good Ol USA would not dare to contemplate let alone to practice. Yes, not even the US would dare to contemplate such provisions.  In short, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to exactly predict where Ethiopia was heading with these provisions and with this form of government in place. The Ethiopians, especially the Ethiopian intellectuals, should have seen the writing on the wall. There, on the wall was a manual written, in black and white, a  “how-to-dismantle” a proud nation.

 

By the way, the crowning moment of the deception of Weyane came about 5 days after the May 2000 election. The way the Weyane stole the May 2000 election, by sending the Ethiopian to go war before the have had the chance to count their “ballot” boxes, was  a masterpiece and the works of the “Devil” himself.  Lo and behold, 5 days after the election, before the Ethiopians have had the chance to count their May 2000 election “ballot” boxes, the Weyane launched the third Weyane offensive against Eritrea-sending the Ethiopian to war while Meles Zenawi and his gang stayed behind to steel the ballot boxes! After the war was over in 22 days, what did the Ethiopians end with? With nothing! Eritrea was and still is standing tall and proud defiantly at the border, there was no “Badime”, there was no “Assab”, and there was no “Red Sea”, and there were no “ballot” boxes to count either. As expected, as if nothing happened, the Weyane went on to conduct business as usual to rain five more years of “The Hell” in Ethiopia. 

 

Do not hold it against the Ethiopians for being blinded or deceived by Weyane.  Let alone the "hungry-for-democracy" Ethiopians and let alone a country that lived in a reign of “Red Terror” for 17 years; do you know the Weyane even succeeded to hoodwink some Western countries?  You bet; some Western countries had been had good by Weyane and still they are. The Weyane took some western countries to the cleaners by presenting them selves as “democratic” and as “partner in the war against terrorism”. Although it is a documented fact that the “cash cows” of Ben Laden and Al Qaeda are registered in Addis Ababa to do business all over the world, including the Western countries, there were and still there are some Western countries who are taking the Weyane as a “partner in the war against terrorism”.  The sad story of this whole episode is these are the very Western countries, who are at war against terrorism and who claim they are for “democracy”, justice, equality, religious freedom, and individual rights.  And yet these are the very nations that are propping the Weyane at the cost of the Ethiopia people’s freedom and peace. Yes, here are the Western nations who are not practicing what the preach.  They preach democracy and justice but here is the Ethiopian democracy buried by the help of such nations. Therefore, if Weyane are able to play hooky on some Western countries; can you really blame the Ethiopians for being unable to see the nature and the make up of Weyane that early? In all honesty, taking the hunger for democracy of the Ethiopians into consideration, if you add the West promoting the Weyane as if the Weyane are “democratic” and “partners against terrorism”, then it only natural for people who lived in “Red Terror” to see the “light at the end of the tunnel”-a light which was not there!

 

Leaving the “Balkanization” of Ethiopia to side, which is still in progress; what did the Ethiopians gained under the rule of Weyane?  Nothing; except destruction and mayhem.  So far, in Meles Zenawi’s Ethiopia, if it is not hunger, it is HIV; if it is not HIV, it is malaria; if it is not malaria, it is Meles killing the Ethiopians in cold blood in the streets of Addis Ababa; if it is not Meles killing the Ethiopians, it is making the Ethiopians kill each other on ethnic lines; if it is not making the Ethiopians kill each other, it is war and incursion against all sovereign neighboring countries such as Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, and the Sudan; and if it is not war and incursion against sovereign nations, it is back to square one-to hunger and human misery of biblical proportion.  In short Meles Zenawi has defined “Ethiopia” as synonym to “hunger” in the English Dictionary. 

 

This is what they Ethiopian have and it is a must the Ethiopians got save them selves before their country is “Balkanized” at the very least. And so, come May 2005, both the Ethiopians and the West were awakened to a “rude awakening” and that “ rude awakening” is now in motion to save Ethiopia. In short, it was only in May 2005 when the Ethiopians come to accept that Weyane could only be removed by the power of the “bullet” and not the power of the “ballot”.  The  “colonial masters”, as Meles Zenawi do refer the likes of Tony Blair, have also come came to accept that Weyane are being them selves-speaking in “forked tongue” who mastered and refined “deceit”, “betrayal, and “denial” as an art of diplomacy and statesmanship. 

 

B. External Factor No 1:  “Eritrea As The Bait”.

To continue raining Hell in Ethiopia, presenting Eritrea as the “bait” is the external factors the Weyane used. What a prefect “bait” and it worked. 

 

Tell me, was there any other better “bait” the Weyane could use other than dangling “ASSAB” and the “RED SEA” in front of the Ethiopians, especially to the common Ethiopian on the streets of Addis?  Weyane knew what it meant to the Ethiopians to be a “landlocked” Ethiopia. In addition, if you add the “HILMI ABAI TIGRAI”, the dream of having “The Greater Republic of Tigrai” with access to the sea, presenting Erirea as “bait” was perfect and timely for the Weyane to use to “divert the attention” of the Ethiopians from “The Hell” on earth” they were/are being subjected to. I repeat, Weyane knew this inherent and emotional weakness of the Ethiopians and so it was the perfect and timely “bait” to use to divert the attention of the Ethiopians from their own internal problems. Lo and behold, Weyane promised “Assab” and the “Red Sea”. And so, without taking the gallant sons and daughters of Eritrea into their equation, with such hollow arrogance, the Weyane dispatched the Ethiopian ambassadors all over the world to spread the “word”-“the good news about Assab and the Red Sea in 72 hours”. That unattainable dream, that daytime hallucination, and that “Lam Alechign Be Semai, Wetet..……” was the “bait” that blinded the Ethiopians and it worked like charm.  Funny; if you come to think about it, it was the same game the British played to the Kenyans before the Kenyans lost their country and dignity to British colonialism.  As the Kenyan put it, the British came; they handed them the Bible and they told them to close their eyes and pray for “Manna from Heaven” to rain on them. But by the time the Kenyans opened their eyes, the British have stripped them bare naked-leaving them with no home, no country, and no dignity. That is exactly what the Weyane did to the Ethiopian when they promised “Assab” and the “Red Sea” in “72 hours” and in the process the Ethiopians lost their country and their dignity.  Indeed, the Weyane promised “Assab” on silver platter in “72 hours” but to have it the Ethiopians were demanded to come up with the “money” and children to be sacrificed in the war with Eritrea.  Lo and behold, the bait worked like a charm and from May 1998 to May 2000, the Ethiopians were made to squander 36,000,000,000 Birr (count the number of zeros please, it reads 36 billion Birr) for arms and armaments; not to mention the 153,000 innocent Ethiopian children who perished as “Fengiregach” (living and breathing human mine sweeper) in the Eritrean country side. Even now, even after the “final and binding verdict” is rendered, putting “Badime” on the Northwest side of the famous “straight line” and the border is delineated legally once and for all, the Ethiopians are still being made to squander another $500,000,000 a year to keep a rotting army at the border.

 

Weyane, the masters of deception and betrayal, were expected to say and to do anything and everything under sun to mislead and deceive the Ethiopians and still they are at it. But how fool could the Ethiopians, especially the Ethiopian intellectuals, be to take the words of Weyane as is? For one thing, the Ethiopians, especially the Ethiopian intellectuals, should have known that, at this juncture, Eritrea is sovereign nation among the family of nations. As of May 24, 1993, by the power of the “bullet” (SEWRA) and by the power of the “ballot” (referendum), Eritrea is gone, not looking back, and so “Assab” and “Red Sea” can only be Eritrean; case closed. That is a fact they should have accepted.  But here were the Ethiopians, blinded by the “Red Sea” and “Assab”, to have been deceived and hoodwinked by Weyane and in the process the Ethiopians squandered their resources and not to mention the young Ethiopians they lost for ever.  In short this “external factor”, which was intended to erase Eritrea from the face of the map, backfired or boomeranged; taking Ethiopia to 30 years back, not mention a country which is at the verge of “Balkanization” or “genocide”; Heaven forbid!

 

C.  External Factor No 2:  “Somalia As The Bait”

To a student of political science, this is an interesting discussion topic to entertain. It is not the “bait” as such, but it shows and it paints what desperately desperate regimes such as Weyane do at the 11th hour of their doom.  Laying flat on their backs at the bottom of their 6 ft deep grave and just before the High Priest from Debre Damo says “ashes to ashes”, here are the Weyane talking. They are being read their last rites alright; but from the bottom of the 6 ft deep hole, covered by graveyard dirt from the foot to neck, the “forked-tongue” of Weyane is uttering one word. The word is “Somalia”. That is right, Weyane are talking “Somalia”.  How unassumingly naïve of us and how could we forget!  Just like Eritrea, Somalia is also another perfect “bait” the Weyane could dangle in front of the Ethiopians!

 

At this 11:59th hour of their life, being read their last rite, the desperately desperate Weyane gangs are trying to present  “Somalia” as if Somalia is still the “enemy” of the Ethiopia.  Not only that, the fact that the Somalis have had no central government since 1991 and the fact that Somalia is a 100% Moslem country; here are the Weyane trying to blackmail Somalia as if Somalia is infested by terrorism. Albeit unsuccessful, that is exactly what the Weyane are trying to do. But the Ethiopians are no fools to take Somalia as the “enemy” and the rest of the world, especially the Horn of African countries, are no fools to take Somalis as “terrorist” infested country either. Somalia is the country of the gallants and not “terrorists”, and that is the truth.

 

One thing is fact. The Ethiopians should know or they should have known that there is no border issue between Ethiopian and Somalia.  Good or bad, the border between Ethiopian and Somalia is delineated, if not demarcated, a long time ago.  The border issue between Somalia and Ethiopia has been already settled-in 1964 when the African countries agreed to live by the “colonial boundaries”.  Like it or not, both Ethiopia and Somalia are to accept the “colonial boundaries” and there is no political or legal factor that could turn Somalia and Ethiopia to be enemies. Thus Ethiopians should know, if they have an enemy, it is not the Somalis or for that matter it is not the Eritreans but the very minority regime in Addis Ababa that is mowing the Ethiopian children in the street of Addis. As of May 2005, Meles Zenawi’s hands are soiled by the murdered of 199 Ethiopian children in the streets of Addis Ababa at the very least. That is the enemy of Ethiopians  and not Somalis; period! 

 

As to who is “terrorist” and who is not; at this very hour the world have defined “terrorism”.  “Terrorism”, as we know it, has neither a  distinct religion nor a defined territorial boundary.  We have seen both Moslem and Christian religious fanatics wrecking havoc to the human race and they still do.  Some are using TNT to blow up innocent people in the streets, railway stations, and bus stations while others are trying to destroy decent societies and countries by forcing them to speak in their language-the language of “speaking in tongue”, if you know what I mean. These are the terrorists we know.  Therefore, Somalia, the only country in Africa which is blessed with one religion (Islam), one people (Somalis), and one language (Somali) could not be taken as the breeding ground of “terrorism”; simply Somalia happened to be a Moslem country.  By the way, if such logic is to hold waters and if being a “Moslem” is to be equated to “terrorism”; then Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Pakistan, Morocco, and Indonesia-the very Moslem countries which are in the trenches fighting “terrorism”-could only be “terrorists”. Therefore, an Islamist Somalia cannot and should not be taken as terror breeding/harboring ground, unless proven to the contrary.

 

But here are the Weyane trying to present them selves as if they are “partners in the war against terrorism” claiming they are to fight “terrorism” in Somalia.  And the sad story of this whole episode is there are Western diplomats that are being hoodwinked by Weyane. These Western diplomats  who deal with the Horn do not even know where Somalia on the map is let alone to know the socio-political dynamics of Somalia or the Horn of Africa.  Then again, if the intellectual depth and political sophistication of the diplomats that were and still are being dispatched to deal with the affairs of Somalia and the “Horn of Africa” is no better that a high school football cheerleaders, then we cannot be surprised if the Weyane succeed to hoodwink such diplomats in the bedrooms of Addis Sheraton Hotel!  Heaven have mercy on Africa and the Horn! 

 

Help me understand one thing though. Who has the power and the knowledge to define ‘terrorism”?  By the same token, how could the Weyane, which is in bed with Al Qaeda, is being taken as a “partner in the fight against terrorism” by some Western nations, the very nations who are war against “terrorism”?  The unholy relationship of Weyane and Al Qaeda is a well documented fact.  To that effect, this is what DEBKAfile has to say three years ago: 

 

"His (meaning Ben Laden) annual operational budget is estimated as $125 million, which comes out of revenues from family-owned companies”. "He (Ben Laden) has invested his stock in front companies registered in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital. Most of his investments are in satellite networks and cell phone companies."

 

DEBKAfile has been studying Ben Laden and his operation for years. This is what they reported: 

 

 “Al Qaeda ("the Base"), the militant Islamic movement the Saudi terrorist tycoon Osama Bin Laden founded in 1990, is estimated by DEBKAfile's terror experts to number no more than 12,000 fighting men in all. They are scattered round the world, mainly in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Chechenya, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan, Tadjikistan and Lebanon. Some 2,500 live in the United States, many of them US nationals, counting also members of Al Qaeda's fraternal terrorist group, the fundamentalist Egyptian Jihad Islami.”

 

Therefore, if the Al Qaeda are to unleash their “Armageddon” against the civilized world, the Minority Government of Ethiopia, the very evil government who is being propped up by the very same governments who are at war “against terrorism”, is the one who is providing Al Qaeda the safe haven to conduct business as usual. What is sad about the actions of these Westerns nations is, what they are doing is coming at the cost of the peace of the Horn, not to mentiosn the mowing of the Ethiopian children in the streets of Addis Ababa by Weyane!  In short, here is “democracy” in Ethiopia being buried to 6 ft under and here are the very countries who claim to be the champions “democracy”, “human rights”, and “justice” providing the Weyane the shovel to bury it.  And that is hypocrisy in its ugliest and shameful form!

 

Many Western nations policy makers and diplomats could try to bury their head in the sand like an ostrich when it comes to the unholy alliance of Al Qaeda and the Minority Regime of Ethiopia.  Weather they like it or not, the bitter truth is "he (Ben Laden) has invested his stock in front companies registered in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital”-earning him the “dollars” he needed to blow up the peace-loving people of the world.  That is the fact and no Western nations policy-makers could whitewash or bury.  At this juncture, the East African countries know that it is NOT Somalia but it is the “Minority Government of Ethiopia”, the Weyane, who is the “terrorist” by providing Ben Laden and the Al Qaeda safe haven to invest worldwide thru his “front companies registered in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital”.

 

The war against "international terrorism" rages on.  It should and it must be won; if there shall peace on earth. And if the war against “terrorism” in the Horn of Africa is to be won; the Western countries, especially those countries who are sacrificing their resources and their men in the war, should accept the first order of business is to know the nature of Weyane. Once they accept the Minority Regime of Ethiopia is in bed with Ben Laden; then the US and civilized world could see the fruit of their sweat and blood-culminating in a peaceful Horn and Middle East with no terror elements operating from the region. Otherwise taking the Weyane as a “partner against terrorism”, will only amount to Western countries cutting their fingers, the very fingers that are supposed pulls the trigger in the fight against “terrorism”.  Take it or leave it, the Weyane are in bed with Ben Laden and Al Qaeda.

 

In conclusion, at this 11th hour, Weyane have used all their cards and there is not a single card left to play or to deal to wreck havoc in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, and/or the Sudan. Weyane gambled big time and they lost big time. The Weyane as we know is finished and there nothing any one, including the “colonial masters” such as Tony Blair, could do to prop up the termite-eaten house of Weyane. The Ethiopian revolution rages and the Ethiopians are up to reclaim their country and dignity from the scam of the earth, the Weyane. Lo and behold, at this juncture, the Weyane are all packed ready to run for their life; if they could make it alive out of Addis Ababa. Even that is too late too little for the Ethiopian “Black Nazi Hunters” will be hunting the Weyane all over the world; bringing the next “Charles Taylor” to justice.  With Weyane buried to 6 ft under and with Meles Zenawi captured alive at IRI BEKENTU by the Ethiopians there shall be peace in the Horn; make no mistakes about it! In the mean time, this time around, the “can-do” country, Eritrea, is not to steal the show of the Ethiopians but sit on the sideline let the Ethiopians have the honors of reclaiming their country and dignity!  Ethiopia, the proud nation and the Ethiopians, the God-fearing people, deserves better.
