Horn of Africa US policy makers + TPLFMinority regime =
Disaster.
There must be a
pact by some advisers of U.S
policy on the horn of Africa and the current
Ethiopian
regime in power that continues to create more problems
in the
horn of Africa region by the day. The majority
Ethiopian people have cried
out loud, the border issue
between Eritrea and Ethiopia is not solved yet
and
while a new war is about to blow up between the
minority regime in
power and the majority of the
Somalian nation as we know it today, the future
does
not look so good.
Mean while at the
State Department a few handful
individuals along with their usual advisers
and
scholars from organizations such as council on foreign
relations as
well as other tink tank institutes are
using the war on terror card to make
policies that are
absolutely false and dangerous as it will make
matters
worse on the already volatile horn of Africa
region.
What these handful individuals who are
considered
advisers to US policy ought to do is reconsider their
attitude
towards their full support for the Meles
Zenawi regime and work towards a
peaceful Horn of
Africa that will thrive under peace and harmony
amongst
all the countries in the region.
Thousands have
cried out loud in front of the
door steps of the institution that makes
policies
including from opposition of the current Ethiopian
regime,
Somalians who don't want to go to war against
this murderous regime as well
as Eritreans who want to
see the RULE OF LAW PREVAIL based on facts
and
regulations.
Congress continues to have
hearings about the
human rights abuses taking place in Ethiopia and
about
the border issue but nothing seems to be happening as
a matter of
fact things are getting worse and the TPLF
minority regime continues to buy
power.
A report that is about to come out from
Council
on Foreign relations this week written by an
Ethiopianist and
friend of the TPLF regime is one that
will have an input on how the Jendai
Frazers and the
many failed policy makers at the State Department
will
make decisions for the horn of Africa.
Mr.Terrence Lyons an associate professor at
George Mason University and a
person who worked with
the whacked Carter Center during the
Ethiopian
elections has seen it in his own eyes that people are
tired of
the continued misgivings and wrong doings
that take place in the horn of
Africa region.
Especially when it comes to the worst type of human
rights
abuse as witnessed during the stolen
Ethiopian
elections.
Mr.Lyons supported by
the likes of Ambassador
David Shinn and the same people who continue to
make
wrong analysis day in day out need to give up on the
region's
policies and reconsider. The first step is to
admit that the TPLF minority
regime is wrong for the
horn of Africa region. They need to look at
the
leadership in Ethiopia as the root cause of the
problem in the horn of
Africa. If not the situation
will get worse by the
minute.
As for Eritrea, it is an independent
nation born
out of it's own struggles and continues to build and
develop
within it's boundaries. Even though it is
respecting the rule of law as
witnessed by the whole
world it is being used as an excuse for the
problems
of the region created by none other than the regime
in
Addis.
Eritrea is an ally to all as long
as it is not
meddled with. It has seen the worst types of human
rights
violation against it's people and it has no
reason to associate itself with
terrorists. It must be
recalled that during it's darkest hours no one
cared
for it and it did not matter to the majority of the
world whether it
existed or not. One of the few
nations that stood by it were the people of
Somalia.
Funny as it may see the Somalians also supported the
then Meles
Zenawi lead TPLF and like your own dog
barking at you, Zenawi has betrayed
the Somali people
at this particular time when they want peace.
This
should not be anything new considering he did the same
with
Eritrea.
As these handful US policy makers would
like the
world to believe that by supporting the Islamist
majority of a
100% Muslim country such as Somalia,
Eritrea and those who support the
islamist are
terrorist which is far from the truth. The terrorist
is the
minority regime in Addis who has given an open
policy of governance to the
State department of the
United States who are advised by a few
handful
scholars.
If the U.S
administration has not learned from
the failed policies of Iraq, then this
will be even
more dangerous as the horn of Africa is a very
strategic
location. The majority Muslim population of
Ethiopia are not terrorists they
are people who want
peace like the rest of the world. It's dangerous
to
label Ethiopia as a christian country even though it
has a large Muslim
population. To create a religious
war against neighbors for other purposes
should be
unacceptable. The media must stop using the religious
card and
accept the fact that Ethiopia has a rich and
unique culture that combines
Muslims and Christians
together forever. Instead of dwelling on this type
of
attitude they need to fix the problem by creating
peace in the region.
If it means deducting their
support to the TPLF minority regime, be it so.
