Eritrea, Ethiopia and the American Administration

In this world that we are living in, there is one obvious superpower. Yes it has become normal activity for Americans to Invade countries under the pretext of terrorism.

If we look back in history, countries struggled for their well being and development have become the prime enemies of the US administration. Corrupted leaders, who massacre their people and who are there to beef up their personal wealth are more likely to become best ally. Invasion and corruption has become so trendy these days that, a leader has to be like Meles Zenawi the Ethiopian prime minister. Someone who bowed down embarrassingly when ordered by America and invaded neighboring countries like Eritrea and Somalia. The minority Government of Ethiopia Weyane can massacre Ethiopians and damage their identity, but as long as the American needs are served, it is a democratic Government. What goes on in Ethiopia is none of the George Bush’s or CIA’s business, so long as the American Interest is fulfilled.

Ethiopia gets around two Billion US Dollars in aid yearly, yet still hungry and with out the basic necessities for many Ethiopians. Millions of the aid money is spent on buying arms and feeding around half a million soldiers invading neighboring countries while people are dying of hunger. The Weyane regime has become the embarrassment of the black Africa and the beauty of the America’s dirty work. It is not even a legitimate Government any more. After losing in the last election, the regime has refused to give up power. The more it goes against the low and keeps up the torture of innocent Ethiopian citizens, the higher the aid is, as though the American administration and the European community approve the tyranny. Then again you would not expect otherwise. America has invaded Iraq, bombed Al Jazeera for transmitting the truth about what’s happening in Iraq and always supported terrorism and terrorists. A liar cannot condemn another liar.

After the Algiers peace agreement in 2000 and the 2002 final and binding border ruling which awarded the disputed area to Eritrea, the first thing the foreign Minister of the Weyane regime said was, “the rule of low has prevailed over the rule of Jungle”. Weyane even went as far as throwing a big celebration party in Addis Ababa. They knew what the result was, but they still went ahead to deceive Ethiopians as always. They claimed, “Victory” and they also said, “we got more than what we wanted”. But as the border issue was not their main aim for starting the war and Invading Eritrea, the lie continued and then follows the big crime. They rejected the “Final and Binding” decision”. Then the hypocrisy of the United Nations and the United States started showing. The story changed to another nonsense. Dialogue became the talk of the United States and United Nations, perpetrators started offending more and more. Weyane became an instrument of US’s hidden agenda. Use them and then throw them. The world knows and remembers that at some point Saddam Hussein was a very good ally of United States.

Before the invasion of Iraq, “weapons of mass distraction” was echoing on our ears as the reason for the invasion. Now they don’t even want to mention it.

When Weyane invaded Eritrea, the reason for the invasion was Badme, now it’s the Eritrean Government. The irony of it all is that, a Government that can’t govern is complaining about a Government that is working hard day and night to build bright future of a country.

Eritrea has come through thick and thin in freeing herself from colonialism. Thirty years struggle was not to throw away her freedom, but to become free of slavery and all the dirt that comes with it. That’s why, the sacrifice of more than 19,000 Eritreans followed. The long struggle has brought not only freedom, but also discipline and wisdom. From the first day the struggle for freedom started, Eritreans relied on a few, but never depended on anyone.

What is Freedom? Free from what and Who? Those who gave their lives for freedom did so for Eritrea to become free of colonialism as well as free of slavery. There is direct colonialism and slavery as there is also indirect. A country can have a President who can’t decide what is best for the country. When a country depends on outside help, the freedom has gone forever. That is exactly what’s happening in Ethiopia. What good is it for Ethiopians invading neighboring countries? Poor country, desperately in need of development is wasting money on war, but the puppet Meles has to do what he is told, if not he will be punished with less aid and his short power will be more shortened. The welfare of Ethiopians does not count.

Eritrea has become exemplary. The leadership has wisdom, maturity and most of all patience. Laying a very strong foundation that looks ahead for the next many years, installing a hard working culture, building peaceful neighborhood relying (not depending) on each-other developing and prospering together. Almost every part of Eritrea is connected by road and access to clean water, electricity, clinics and schools are being installed. First is first then we move on to the next. You don’t start from behind when you build a country. The Eritrean Government needs to handle freedom very carefully because carelessness can lead to another slavery.

Once upon a time so many people including some Eritreans dismissed the freedom of Eritrea as a dream and unachievable. Now we have a free country that is trying to bring peace and prosperity in East Africa. Mediating peace agreements and initiating economical co-operation. This is a big threat to the US Administration and those Africans who have sold themselves out to the west that they have chosen to be the prime enemies of peace and prosperity in Africa by becoming weapons of American destruction.

When Americans don’t like a Government, they would do any thing they can to destabilize the economy and make it hard for the public to function. They would keep good contact with the army commanders and try to corrupt them and they would try and cause economic chaos. All these have been tried in Eritrea, but Eritreans and the Government have become sharper and wiser.

Eritrea is has two choices, to give up and forget about it and go back to slavery or to keep on fighting. If Eritrea is going to keep on fighting, then she has to fight to win. Fighting from a corner she can fight really well. When it is necessary by retreating to a better corner. But does Eritrea ever succeed or does she just keep on fighting? The result is speaking for it self. Because Eritrea succeeded, there is Eritrean Embassy in New Hampshire Washington DC in the heart of America, There is Eritrean currency Nakfa, Eritrea Ethiopia border will be demarcated soon, Zerisenay Taddesse is winning in Athletics, not long ago Eritrea won 2.1 in football against Kenya, Eritrean Airlines is flying to Asmara and Massawa from different corners of the world. Because Eritrea succeeded there is a sign of peace in Sudan. In Short the Eritrean flag is waving everywhere. The sacred lives of those who died for Eritrea is always there.

Every Eritrean should remember that the western media won’t obviously publicize the success; it will be against their interest. So Eritreans need to keep on reminding our selves how much we have achieved.

If George Bush cared about human beings in this world, we would not have seen the New Orleans and the Harlem Situations. Why would he care about Africa if he couldn’t careless about the Black Americans inside America? Billions of dollars is spent in the Middle East, yet there are so many Americans in America right now with out the basic necessities. Those who expect help from the west should look at those countries that are helped by the US. Their political and Economical situations have gone from bad to worst and they are in a very bad situation that it is almost impossible for them to come out of.

Eritreans sacrificed their lives, for Eritrea to be a prosperous and a happy country. For Eritrean children to have bright future and equal opportunity, for Eritrea to be a country of the majority, free of corruption and full of development.

The struggle goes on and the victory is imminent.
