Congratulations AAFM
For expert organization of the highest level!.
You made us
all proud!!
The AAFM (Abraham
Afeworki Foundation for Music) held its first fundraising event on April 14,
2007 at the most prestigious Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC.
More than 1,200
Friends of Abraham Afeworki and
supporters of AAFM were present to
honor the legend, Abraham Afeworki’s, great work and to fulfill his dreams. AAFM’s tribute concert featured Eritrean
vocalists and musicians from all over the US. The Concert was one of
the best in the history of the Washington, DC area. It was simply mesmerizing. Congratulations go to all who participated. AAFM has certainly raised the bar for
Eritrean events in the Washington, DC area (and the US event organizers in
general).
AAFM organizers are young, energetic professionals – visionaries,
promoters, experienced event coordinators – with determination, perseverance,
and dedication to fulfill Abraham Afeworki’s dreams. The presentations, posters,
marketing strategy, venue, elegance in presentation, music, and the decorations
were all of outstanding quality! The video
presentation of Abraham’s short history and a slide show, which thanked AAFM
supporters, were also top-notch. Pictures of Abraham, T-shirts, posters, calendars,
and supreme quality of service were all present at the event. It was an evening full of sentiment,
happiness, and it was a moment to remember Abraham Afeworki’s great work. A performance of one of Abraham’s songs by a
group of young Eritrean-Americans was emotionally charged.
AAFM’s purpose is to promote the awareness, performance,
preservation, and dissemination of Eritrean music. With all the positive responses from the Eritrean Americans, International
community, first class event coordination, and strategies, they have shown us,
I am sure they will accomplish well beyond our imagination.
Way to Go AAFM! You
are exemplary to our community and I hope we can follow your standards for all
our upcoming events. Thank you, AAFM, for
organizing an event to the highest standard in today’s world. We all should be very proud of your success
in continuing the legacy!
