23rd annual Eritrean Sports Festival in North America
to be held in Dallas, Texas.
Team Dallas was the Champion in the city of Atlanta 23
years ago
when the first Eritrean Sports Festival started and again in the
second sports festival in 1987 in the city of Miami. This unique
cultural and sports event was held mainly to maintain the Eritrean
identity & culture and also continue to be a source of inspiration and
hope for Diaspora Eritreans living in North America. The sports
festival as it is known now
was held in Dallas in 1990 as Team Virginia showed excellent display
and won the championship. The tournament in Dallas also attracted for
the first time the largest amount of teams to participate in the
history of the event until that point.
The 23rd year Anniversary of Eritrean Sports Federation will be
celebrated in the beautiful city of Dallas between Sunday June 29th
thru July 6th of 2008, the federation is making special preparations
to make this year's event one of the best and memorable events for
sports teams, fans and all Eritreans who are looking forward to
another great venue.
We will be updating the website soon and will have inclusive
information very soon. Start reserving your air tickets ahead of time
and join us in what we believe is going to be the best sporting event
ever for Eritreans. We are negotiating with all the necessary vendors
and should have more information in the very near future. But for now
get ready to spend your part of your summer in the beautiful city of
Dallas, Texas between June 29th & July 6th, 2008.
