An open letter to J. Peter Pham, Ph.D.

J. Peter Pham, Ph.D.

You call yourself an expert of Africa and especially an expert for the Horn of Africa.  First of all I don't think you ever visited most of the countries you mention in your articles.  Secondly I don't know where you get your so called information.  The reason I'm writing you is regarding Eritrea which you always seem to try to inform the public by distorting facts with fiction with your evil  intentions.  I don't know what your problem towards this country is all about.  Because the more I read  the articles you write about Eritrea the more I understand that you either have a big animosity and hidden agendas towards the Country or you're totally a moron with a Ph.D.

Let me lecture you a little bit about terrorism.  Do you know how long Eritrea has been fighting against internal and external terrorism?  Go back into the archive history and check that out, because Eritrea has been fighting extremism way before you or the current US administration knew the term of the word.

Like you stated in your last article:  "And apart from concerns about Islamist militancy, there is the phenomenon of state-sponsored terrorism. For example, as I warned earlier this year with respect to Eritrea, “the rogue regime in Asmara…is fomenting a growing cycle of violence phenomenon that not only threatens the stability of its neighbors, but, because of its support of an al Qaeda-linked Islamist insurgency [in Somalia], risks opening a broad terrorist front across the entire Horn of Africa.” In this context, the possible renewal of conflict along the Ethiopia-Eritrea border which, as I reported most recently in late November, is a very distinct possibility given Asmara’s violations of the demilitarized buffer zone, casts a shadow on the coming year.

This shows that you're already replicating statements made in the past by either the current US administration or by the so called terror experts like yourself which in my vocabulary know nada about the Horn of Africa politics.  If you really think the Asmara regime is violating the demilitarized buffer zone you've to read the EEBC verdict as a whole and read the UN international law charter.

Dr. J. Peter Pham

People like you are brewing wars and terrorism.  Your knowledge should help bring Countries and Peoples together not divide them.  You can do a lot by sticking to the truth and facts to change the World.  Please go and visit the Countries you always mention in your articles, including Eritrea.  I think you might end up knowing that you've been misinforming the international community, when you be able to see the facts on the ground by your own eyes.  To tell you frankly, I don't know how you can sleep at night.
