Oakland's Successful Grand Opening of Eritrean Cultural Civic Center in California Inc. (ECCCC Inc.)

 On April 5, 2008, the Eritrean Cultural Civic Center in California, inc. opened officially. The place was open from 9:00 AM till the wee hours of the night. People were coming and out throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were available. The highlight of the opening was the evening.

 After people had their dinner, members of the coordinating committee made brief introductory remarks.One is deceived to see that the place was always like that until it was mentioned that the coordinating committee had spent 15, 000 USD to renovate the place. Accordingly, a new floor, a new kitchen two rest rooms and a storage room were constructed.

 The Eritrean youth of the Bay Area talked about the fund-raising that they are doing. Also they mentioned about the various activities that they are involved.

 People danced their hearts out to various songs that Ghirmay DJ was playing under the watchful eyes of various posters, especially that of Eritrea 's late poet-laureate Mama Zeyneb.
