All friends and supporters of Eritrean Airlines,

Anything that is worth while doing takes time and effort.
After a steady and unrelenting march we have now arrived at the point where the following have been accomplished.

1.The first set of Cockpit and Cabin Crew have finished their training.
2, the Boeing 767/300 Lease is 98% finalized.
Airplane inspected by Eritrean and is in preparation for acceptance flight.
3. the Airplane will be test flown on the 10th of March by the Eritrean Airlines Pilots.
4. Delivery is scheduled for the 14of March 2003.
5. The Maiden Flight Home is scheduled for the 21st of March.
6. The North American Travel industry participants is scheduled to take place on the 1st of March- to discuss the Marketing plans, strategies and how to best benefit the Eritrean Traveling Public and the Industry participants , while at the same time coming up with ideas as to how best to help the Airlines get inducted into the Aviation World.
The marketing plan is based on our ability to reach every fellow Retrain on the globe.
The second Airplane is scheduled to come into service on the first of June 2003.
We are hereby inviting all Eritreans to contact any Eritrean Travel agent for booking a seat on the Maiden flight or call Amanuel of Omega travels at 206 367 2200 for information and booking arrangements.We have asked for FAA permission to carry passengers. Therefore it is all subject to FAA approval.

This is a short memo to officially state that the Airline will start operation on March 21st and that the reservation systems will be operational very soon.
In the mean time please contact any Eritrean Travel agency and they will have the information you need.
All Eritreans in the travel business are invited to the Dallas meeting and if by some administrative oversight you have not been notified please consider this as the invitation.
The Marketing manager will be there to  share with you our plans and to listen to your inputs and suggestions.
The whole marketing effort centered around your being at the forefront of this business and  upon the fact that we are a closely knit family Nation. The Airline is coming into existence for you and only because of you therefore whatever we do or plan to do is to try and serve your travel needs better.
We were hoping to start on December 19th 2002, but we found out that there were activities that needed more time- we hope you will overlook this three months delay- specially when you come to fly home with us on March 21st- and see the kind of Airline we are trying to create.
This serves also to re invite all Eritrean professionals to come and join us. The time has now come when we can take as many professionals as we can get because the system can now use more professionals.
All kinds of  openings exist  and you can bid for any job in the Airline. Challenge us-  Send your resumes.
We are hoping that there will take place a conference to highlight the investmenmt opportunities related to Aviation and Tourism in Eritrea- such as the creation of Tourist Villages by the Red Sea and the like.
Eritrean Airlines will participate in the iunvestment oportunities created to the tune of 10% or more inorder to remain part of the Development effort. Those of you booking your seat on the maiden flight will get more briefing on this on Board the Plane.
