The HIMBOL FINANCIAL SERVICES Plc.  (HIMBOL), is a banking institution, specializing in foreign exchange and money trading.  Its head office is in Asmara.   HIMBOL  is a highly commercialized organization, which is incorporated as a business entity under the laws of the State of Eritrea.

The various services of HIMBOL can be summarized into two major groups:

Specific Services offered by Himbol:

1.      International Money Transfer

ü      Enabling a customer residing overseas to make ‘standard’ payments to beneficiaries in Asmara;

ü      Enabling the customer residing overseas to make ‘standard’ payments to beneficiaries in any part of Eritrea.

2.      Money Exchange

ü      Enabling the customer to exchange foreign currency cash to Nakfa (without any commission);

ü      Enabling the customer to exchange foreign currency check (travelers checks, draft/prepaid checks or any bank guaranteed checks) to Nakfa (without any additional charge and on the spot);

ü      Enabling the customer to cash personal checks drawn on foreign banks (without any additional charge and on the spot);

ü      Converting from one  foreign currency to another – e.g., from EURO to US Dollar

ü      Converting travelers checks to cash in foreign currency.
